On a longhaul flight you'll probably need such 'luxuries' as food and water as well as probably wanting to check in some baggage. All this would add to the cost with Ryanair if they imposed the same fees on any future long haul operation (whatever happened to that?).
On a 24 hour flight I also count AVOD, an allocated seat and wine as essentials, not luxuries!
I can cope with Ryanair shorthaul if I'm paying pennies for it but long haul I'd much rather pay full price for BA so such a cheap deal is a gift!
