My uncle lives in Irvine and last year I did the flight from MMH to LAX and drove back to Irvine...from check-in in MMH to my uncle's place it took under 3 hours....still beats the 6 hour drive. TSA at LAX T3 isn't that bad generally. I've had to fly the FLG/PRC trips about twice a month and it took me about 15 minutes to get through security nearly every time (just have to avoid that Mexico bank in the early evening).
