[I hope this message can stay here for a while before getting shipped off to Travel Technology so I can get answers from people I know.]

Do any New York metro area FT members have any recommendations for a lower priced landline telephone service instead of Verizon? The only thing VZ has going for it is that their customer and repair service is really fast (never more than 24 hours and sometimes same day results).

FIOS is not offered in my Brooklyn neighborhood so I am thinking of switching my three landlines to Cablevision. AT&T is another possibility.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
