The OP's trip is over the New year's day.

The NRT-SIN come to think of it would probably be a 777 however. So either take the 747 IAD-NRT and then old C class NRT-SIN or else take a domestic flight to ORD and then have new C class all the way to SIN and back via HKG on the 747.
