I really hope that no pax complained loudly either at the airport or via customer service. We want information when there are delays and we constantly fight for the truth. If we get the truth and then b!tch about the delay pilots will go back to saying nothing or blaming everything on external sources.

I am glad he was honest with you. There is no telling how many times this happens on all airlines but no one is told the truth.
