I have no direct knowledge of the answer. But as one of Murphy's Laws states: "to err is human; to really foul things up requires a computer."

Seriously, though ... just because you're entering your birthdate as part of your ticket purchase doesn't mean that information is getting transferred to the online check-in program. I suspect that your airline's systems are in the process of being updated, and will be ready ... oh, who knows when.
