IDENTITY THEFT! Coded room keys?
Maybe someone could cross post this to Hyatt and Starwood. I put this here because the e-mail I received was regarding a Southern California Doubletree. From the e-mail news story I received (sorry I do not know how to paste it here) law enforcement was looking into ways people become victims of identity theft. They found a Doubletree in Southern California. When they read the room key it contained the persons name, partial address, check-in date, check-out date and credit card information. So I will not be returning any room keys in the future. Can Hilton please answer to this? What information is contained on our coded room keys? Should we be concerned? I am. FYI
