I'm not sure if that is the norm there, but it does seem like a very long time. Most places where I fly by the time I get down to baggage claim my bag is there or I may have to wait for 15 minutes at most. If getting your baggage is more important to you than riding the big jets then I would suggest going to GSO. I personally don't like the RJs so if riding mainline requires waiting longer for my bags so be it, but thats just me.
