The 767 with 4 rows is an upgrade IMO over the 757, but both are good. A 767 with more than 4 rows is a huge upgrade, but don't get your hopes up. I just prefer the 2 aisles of the 76 series plus the cabin is much bigger and feels better to me on a long flight. I think that is why I don't care for the upperdeck on the 744's.

I wouldn't nomally say this, but as someone who does not travel frequently and since this is a pretty long trip, make sure you drink plenty of water. It is easy to get dehydrated when drinking and traveling for 8 hours in a low humidity environment.
I researched a little before booking and made sure we have 1 1/2 hours for connections. Our flight East arrives in ATL at 3 something PM and flight to FLL leaves about 530PM.

That is a good idea about drinking water before. I believe someone told me a few months back to drink lots of water that whole week leading up to trip.
And about drinking, please don't think we're big drinkers. We're not. Just a daily nip has helped us lead a long and healthy life. Oh, plus not smoking tobacco. ^
