Service on this route is rather unimpressive. It's not to say that it's bad, it's just that you shouldn't expect much. UA really treats this flight as a connecting flight, so what you can expect is a meal... that's pretty much it. There are no amenity kits or slippers, or any special features.
Because the route is operated by a B777 the seats are of course underwhelming and there is no AVOD. This will change in the future, but not anytime soon.
On the flip side ground services at NRT are solid overall -- you can have a shower and a beer at the RCC, connections and security are a breeze, etc.
Service used to be A LOT better when UA had SIN-based FAs.
