Broken suitcase - what to do?
I just came back from a NRT - CDG - BCN flight on a J class award ticket.
My cabin size suitcase, that I checked in this time, came back broken. It is just a piece of the handle gone, but it is noticeable and annoying to the point that I will not use the suitcase anymore in this state.
I paid fees/taxes for the award ticket with an AMEX gold, and I am currently Silver with FB.
Any help on what is the best process to follow? What can I expect as compensation?
Note that on landing in Barcelona, I filled a report with the company handling baggage and told me to call AF with that report.
I wanted to know your experience and what is the best approach.
