As to his cutting in front of others, he may not have realized he was out of line because the GS is listed ahead at the boarding area and is called above First and 1K.
Yes, he was traveling in E (plus), and his bp read Seating Area 1 (for boarding) with GLOBAL SERVICES printed (This I saw as the GA handed back his bp). GS pax are indeed called to board first. But how is it that GS people know that others standing before them on the red-carpet are NOT also GS members? I suppose that the GS was expecting a complimentary upgrade since half of the first class was empty.

I don't know precisely of course why there was such shame in his face. Perhaps, seeing one of the pax that he cut just to get in the front was sitting in the first unlike him riding in the cattle class.
Also while exiting, he pushed himself with his son right in front of the other passengers although he was seated in the emergency row exit seats on 757-200. Does GS come with a license to be disrespectful and selfish? First ones in and wanted to be the first ones out but the FAs let some of us in the FC cabin exit before the GS.
Way to go for FA ^
