How can it be that a GS would be put in the back of the plane if he had reservations for first? Unless, of course, if he had economy reservations then that would explain why he was in economy.
As to his cutting in front of others, he may not have realized he was out of line because the GS is listed ahead at the boarding area and is called above First and 1K.
