This morning, while waiting at the boarding area for a SFO-SEA flight, a total show off and loud GS who was traveling with his son, cut across the line on the red-carpet, announcing, "that's us" right after the GA called for GS, 1K, First paxs to board. It seemed this guy was absolutely certain that he was the only GS on the flight, thus deserving of the first entry. How he figured that out, I am not certain. I didn't protest, although felt offended by his rudeness and "oh look at me and my son" bragging attitude. But soon, the tables changed and this GS got a ride at the back of the plane, while 12 seats went empty on First. When I looked back at him from the first cabin there was total embarrassment in his face. Gone was the boisterous explanation of how they were the first ones in the plane to now almost silent chatter. This GS's ride of shame was really quite (but perhaps deservedly) sad!
