They vary by market. TLV is a low yield J market (at least in my experience). DL probably has a high full FU Biz fare. However, since CO and others are selling lower Z or whatever tickets until just before departure, DL has to sell the 3-4k I fares to be competitive.
The odd thing is that when I first tried I made a mistake in the dates and put in the return as Sept 27 instead of Aug 27. When I did that, the price was over $6000. When I entered the right date, I got the I fare for $3100.
