I've done some searching about the A to C connections and have a few questions for the EWR experts out there . . . I'm flying IND/EWR/DEL next Saturday. Schedule has about a 90 minute connection time (arrive Terminal A at 6:52pm, leaving Term C at 8:25pm). I've never done the A to C bus trip, but sounds like it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 25 minutes. When I booked the flight, I had no concerns about the connection. Thought I may even have time for a shower at the PC before the flight. But a CO agent mentioned I may want to take the earlier IND/EWR flight that is scheduled to arrive EWR at 3:56pm to avoid any connection concerns if the IND/EWR flight is delayed. I normally wouldn't mind a longer layover on a Saturday afternoon, but I have other commitments in Indy that would make it hard to leave earlier this time. Questions:
- Are Saturday afternoon EWR delays as frequent as weekday delays? Obviously bad weather is unpredictable (or is it to be expected at EWR in August?) - thinking more about general flow control delays.
- What's the likelihood of ending up at A31 and having an even longer connection to C? I've checked recent IND/EWR flights and haven't seen one going into A31.
- Would CO hold the EWR/DEL flight for a while to get delayed connecting people onboard? I've done CO82 a few times, and remember sitting waiting for connecting pax. I'm flying BF, if that helps with priority.
- Recent CO82's seem to be leaving from the C10x gates. Is that normal now? I remember CO82 leaving from C138/139/128. C10x would certainly be more convenient for the A to C transfer bus.
Thanks in advance for the advice!
