As others haver said, the exit row will give you more leg room than the bulkhead. Downsides: Window exits have really cold drafts. CRJ-700 exit row bottom seat cushion is short front to back - maybe only 2/3's width of the other seats. Traytables are in the armrest which make both exit and bulkhead seats very narrow.
I am more width than height challenged, so I go for non-bulkhead/exit aisle seats. One can release the outside armrest from its stowed position for a couple of more inches of width. for me this is just enough for some merciful relief from the 2:20 of torture ATL-YUL-ATL - which I fly often. PLEASE let the rumor of CRJ-900 be true.
