If you own a car, I'd call your insurance agent and ask if they cover rentals. If not, I'd find out what it would cost to add it to your policy... I'm sure it'd be cheaper than through aVs for this long. there are also credit cards (I think AmEx) where you can add a rental car protection option. For a certain fee per rental, they insure your car. If you're interested in this ±can't find anything on your own, PM me and I'll see if I can find it... I know one of the recent cards that I opened has that option.
