I'm going to take issue with your comments (apologies, not requoting the entire thing in interest of space). I agree that we all need "me time." It's when we unwind from the stresses of our day-to-day lives. It's the time when we're not working, when we're free of some family obligations. The OP works out of town about 3 weeks a month. He has "me time" after work and on weekends when he's away from home at a work site. I don't buy the excuse that he's out of town in a war-torn country so it's not "me time." After all, he has time to post to Flyertalk, so he obviously has free time to use as he wishes--with limitations. But the truth is, we all have limitations in life that keep us from doing everything we want. Sure, I'd like my me time to include nights in $3000 suite at the Ritz Carlton. But--guess what--I can't afford a $3000 suite at the Ritz Carlton. That doesn't mean I can unilaterally say, "I don't have me time because I didn't spend it at the Four Seasons."
