Just got a call out of the blue from a telemarketing firm working for the WSJ. I let my subscription lapse in March, and they were following up with a new offer (they had all the proper personal detail from my expring account, so it was not a cold solicitation).

The new deal is $99 for a year (plus local sales tax), both print and online. So apparently the old rate is still around. I grabbed it.

As an FYI, the caller ID on my phone read: "TLC Associates (319) 730-4172"
