Yes: it has seemed to make very large bubbles. I'd like a smoother and less aerated foam. BTW, do you find whole or semi-skimmed milk (2%) works better, or some other kind of milk?
A quick google just found an amusing forum where people are discussing modifications to their espresso machines to fit new steam wands, complete with fitting instructions, where to buy these new wands and even using screws with tiny holes drilled into them to make "micro-foam":
