Not unique to Oxford, sadly. My local Manchester airport (MHT, not MAN) is now "Manchester Boston" despite also being 60 miles out of town. If you're leaving from or going to some north-of-town but nominally "suburban Boston" locations it has its merits versus BOS, but still ...
