I noticed a while ago that the Fox link in the second post was no longer active.
The flight landed at PBI on a day with terrible weather at MIA and spent over five hours on the ground (according to both FlightAware and aa.cargo.com).
The source quoted by the OP is of questionable credibility - a blog that welcomes user submissions, without any vetting.
But it has provided fodder for the usual suspects to opine that flying AA "may not be safe."
