Hi, I will be traveling next week with Lufthansa from Stuttgart, Germany on my way to do vacation with my family in Quito, Ecuador. I have a very important question though. As you know LH doesn't fly to Quito, that is why I have to change plains in Caracas and take an Avianca flight. The problem is that I purchased my LH tickets online, because there was a very nice offer with 45% off, so I have my trip from STR to CCS in one ticket and my trip from CCS to UIO in another ticket. Is there a way that I can check my bags in Stuttgart to go directly to Quito? I already called LH and the Stuttgart airport and they told me that I have to ask at the check-in counter, but I was wondering if any of you had gone through something similar. I really don't want to have to exit and then re-enter the airport, because then I will have to pay $110 in airport fees.
