My friend and I are meeting in Zurich this week, and will probably end up traveling to either Munich or Strasbourg by train. I've heard Swiss rail tickets are terribly expensive: would it be cheaper to buy our tickets from Zurich via the SNCF or DBahn websites than it would be to purchase them at Zurich Hauptbahnhof?

We're both poor students, so any advice would be much appreciated!
