I've been planning my honeymoon for a little while now, and settled on Hong Kong and Bali next July.

My planned route is

NCL-DXB-HKG

HKG-DPS
DPS-BKK

BKK-DXB-NCL

As things stand, priced at current rates I can only manage I leg business (wedding costs escalating :-))
Which leg would you recommend I take as business? My feeling is BKK-BXB-NCL and catch the A380 as a final suprise for the Wife to be. The only downside to this is that the DXB-NCL flight is on an A330-200.
I've flown the NCL-DXB leg a couple of times and it's not the best of flights. ICE was not installed last time for example. Not sure if this is the case in business.

I guess, an alternative would be BKK-DXB-LHR and hope to take A380 for both sectors. Has anyone had sucess in doing this? What is the layover in DXB for this?


With plenty of time to book, fingers crossed there is a flight sale sometime before.
