Just to clarify, the ad that I saw following the safety video was not one of the AE aeroplan ads (which is short and "bearable"), but a long corporate video from a media production company - I believe the same one that either produces the safety video, or has something to do with EnRoute entertainment.

I just flew YUL - YYZ again yesterday, and was waiting for the ad. This time, the ad was not shown. However, I did get a glimpse of the beginning of the ad as the safety video was being shut down on the IFE.

Perhaps this video segment has always been on the tape, but the FA usually chooses to turn the IFE system off before it is played back?

Has anyone else seen this ad that I saw at all?

On a side note, the safety video I saw most recently now has subtitles (Spanish, I think...).
