End result was that I rented a house on the North Shore that was 5 times nicer and the same price with unlimited free local calls. I went down again and told the manager that I was planning to stay up to another month, but I would leave that day if they couldn't work something out about the calls. He essentially told me to go ahead and walk, so I checked out right there. The worst part was they didn't seem to care that they were losing a full room for a significant time period and a previously happy Diamond member over what is essentially a garbage phone fee that wouldn't cost Hilton anything to waive. You have to wonder at their business sense!
