I'm currently staying at the HHV for about 35 days. They charge $1.00 per local call and additionally charge $.10 per minute for local calls over an hour. My wife and I both need to access the internet several times a day for work, and it can take 2-3 attempts each time to get a good connection, so this nickle and dime thing is going to add up to several hundred dollars over our stay. Has anyone had any luck getting this fee waived? I'm a gold member, diamond by the end of the stay, but the manager on duty was totally inflexible saying he couldn't violate the "policy" I explained that if we can't get it waived we will move to another hotel, but they apparently value the $1 a call phone charges more then the hundreds of dollars a day room charge they will lose when we leave early.
