I applied for this account on 7/30, and it is still not open as of today, 17 days later!
Because I don't have a house phone (I've only had a cell phone for the past 10 years), Citi needed all kinds of extra stuff from me, such as a paystub, utility bill, phone call to my work for verification, etc.
The offshore call center works slow as heck. At first, they claimed they couldn't read my utility bill, so I had to fax them another one. Now, I'm waiting for them to call me at work to verify I work there (what sense does that make again?).
At best, the account will get funded 3 weeks after I first applied for this account, but I'm not holding my breath at this point...
