Thank you to everyone for their posted advice. I am mostly interested in the 777-200ER, as that is the plane listed for my flight in two weeks.
I am a NW plat, and using the 1 mile BE upgrade program for the flights. So no chance of changing airlines for this trip. I knew it was a recliner when I selected the flight, and since I normally do TPAC in NWA's WBC (and like that seat alot), thought I would try out the Delta BE product to make up my mind about which (NW or DL) I prefer, as I have other Asia trips in the planning stage.
I am a terrible airplane sleeper, and prefer side/tummy position. I usually do not really try hard to sleep on the E -> W TPAC outbound part of the trip, and sleep really good in a real bed when I get there. On certain other types of aircraft, I have found that there is quite a bit of noise or bouncing of the seat (not really sure what it is I hear/feel) when people walk past my seat (not ever on 747's though), especially when the FA is male (forwhatever it's worth). That really disturbs my sleep, but with enough wine/ other adult beverages, I can get a few hours of sleep usually.
That said, the cabin has a good selection of other seats available, in both parts of the BE cabin. Any particular seat better than the others? For ex, seatguru had yellow all over row 10 and the only green seat is 1A (where I am currrently seated). Any other specific suggestions???
