I don't know if any one else will find this useful, but I do get Hilton hotels often through Priceline. Some hotels treat me the same (as Diamond) when I use Priceline, and others don't.

Before starting the holy war, I'll just say it's a bonus when I get the perks and I look favorably on the hotel for future stays (Priceline or not) but I do not demand if I don't receive the perks. I also earn my Diamond exclusively through regular corporate stays.

Here's my list:

Hilton Metrotown Vancouver, BC - Called in Diamond # with no problem. At check-in received full benefits associated with diamond including suite upgrade and mention that I would not receive points because of Priceline. I didn't, even with a few dollars of incidentals.

Doubletree Spokane Valley, ID - Called in Diamond # in advance, received Diamond recognition but special note that no points would be received except for incidentals.

Embassy Suites Southfield, MI - Presented Hilton HHonors # upon checkin, did not specifically receive any perks, but stay did post for incidentals on Hilton.

Doubletree Airport San Francisco, CA - Attempted to call in # was told hotel does not provide any elite perks for Priceline reservations, or even provide credit for incidentals. Will attempt to provide # at checkin and see if that agent has a different tune. Somewhat annoying since this hotel charges $13 a night for parking and I was hoping at least to get Hilton points for that (which is half the price of the room!)
