I'm still pretty new to the CO world, having moved on from NW. As I understand it, the only standard free upgrades are from LAX-HNL. There may be certain upgrade categories that might be upgradeable, but not sure what applies for HNL-Mainland flights. I know that some airlines have HI resident upgrades.

So, I'd say that you might not have ever been in line for a free upgrade. At least you've got a voucher now.

And on a side note, the seating chart doesn't really show you everything. They may hold back some seats, and there are other reasons why I'd never go wholly on what the seatmap shows.

Today, Aug 15, I noticed the fare has dropped to $400.

The seating chart shows 0 seats open in E, and 11 seats open in F.

After a $50 rebooking fee, I get a voucher for $216?

I am now flying N instead of M.

This just seems very strange to me. And now that I am flying N instead of M, does that decrease my chance of being bumped up to F, even though I am a plat with 136K eqms ytd.
