I have ALWAYS been able to log in to my account immediately after opening my account online. Do you not take note of your account number when you create your account? They give it to you in the final step of creating the account. They even say 'print this for your records'. You can use this, you absolutely do NOT need your debit card to log in online. And yes, I even set up online bill pay without having ever received my card. In fact I was able to instantly pay a couple of due credit card bills (well, with the 2 day electronic pay window).
I did not open online but by phone. The account number came with the sig card.
This is where I am trying to register for access; it won't let me proceed with only the account number. Even the CSR agreed this was completely idiotic as I have various new accounts elsewhere because of the coin gig and no one else does anything like this.
