TBH, I don't expect BA's staff to know the ins and outs of tier point earning on AA fares.

However, the KUP fares do earn first class tier points. They post to my BA account as 'F/F' and with the correct miles earned.

If you fly to Puerto Rico, Canada, the USVIs or one of the other Central American nations the flight will be sold as Business Class and you will earn 40 or 120 tier points per flight.
