I have two pair of PE Portfolio dress pants and I hate them! Something about the fabric I find really uncomfortable, I am sure they are great for traveling as they are wrinkle and stain resistant, but mine are destined to be donated to Goodwill.
I had a pair of PE portfolio pants once. They were polyester. I've seen them around department stores and most seem to still be synthetic. Last thing I want if there's any risk of being in a warm area is synthetic pants. I would much prefer a lightweight wool gabardine (or maybe some cotton thrown in for good measure).
