While OT somewhat from AMEX FR, the gauntlet that cc companies are throwing down on consumers that have had credit for years and never pay late is getting downright scary. It seems to be everywhere and I constanly am hearing it from others. Certainly in today's environment cc companies need to tighten up. But taking a good customer from a 9.99% APR to a 27.99% APR overnight or cutting a $7,000 credit limit to a $700 credit limit overnight is troubling.

Now for anyone that clearly appears to be gaming the system (like constantly buying refundable tixs and then not traveling), I can understand the card issuers' severly restricting credit and terms or asking for detailed documentation.
