Frontenac hotel struck by lightning

Frontenac (KMOV) -- It was a rude awakening for nearly two dozen guests at the Frontenac Hilton this morning.


Just before 6 a.m. lightning struck the clock tower on top of the building, sparking a fire.


Emergency crews and hotel staffers evacuated the building as a precaution. No one was injured.


Everyone was back in his or her rooms about an hour later.
