It's been a couple years, but:

1 - we got a comp breakfast in the restaurant - it was a full buffet, excellent

2 - maybe a few kms from a lot of the tourist areas, but the public transport easy to use

3 - it is two blocks from Hbf - Hbf is the main station, just walk straight out of the station and it is ahead to the right

I'm jealous! Salzburg is my favorite smaller city in Europe, enjoy the wonderful town.

If you can get to Hangar 7 (http://www.hangar-7.com/#en/homepage/), it would be a great treat too.
