Eiffel Tower is a Chef Jean Joho restaurant so it doesn't surprise me that you had an enjoyable experience. I've eaten a number of times at his 2 Chicago restaurants -- one formal, the other casual.

I haven't eaten at Eiffel Tower yet. Did you ask for window seating or just get lucky?
