Zippo this year since I have only been on non-award flights when flying LH. Now, care to try to answer your own random question by addressing it to yourself? I'm curious how you would answer that yourself.

About what abuse are you talking?

LH markets the dayroom/arrival room facilities as a benefit of flying LH in first class to/via MUC and FRA, so doesn't it make sense that LH wants the customers in that cabin to be able to make timely use of those facilities without the hotel giving excuses to customers about room availability (when there is availability) and about the shuttle service availability to/from the hotel (when that is what LH sales reps said is covered too as part of this facility)? I would expect so.

A nice "freebie" is a nice "freebie" when the marketed item lives up to expectations. Rather conveniently timed access to the facility and back to the airport would be a reasonable expectation, especially for those first class customers from whom LH receives revenue (directly or indirectly). This kind of failure to live up to expectations certainly is not an issue limited to tickets issued thru airline loyalty programs.
