Hi,

I have flown on extensively on KA this year and the second half of last year (okay, 'extensively' could be relative when you are in FT forms ), as well as domestic routes (MU, CZ, CA, MF, etc.) and I have found that Chinese pax are often very well-behaved. On my first domestic leg I expected the worst, but I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe it was just my expectations.

You guys want to see shocking behaviour from pax, try flying to/from/within India. It is downright shocking (mostly domestic). In China, we can be sure that even when pax line-up along the aisle, that is about as far ahead of each other that they will get. However, in India, more than once I have seen pax clambering over the seats to jump the queue on the aisle.

At the baggage carousel once in Pune, there was about a half-foot by half-foot space between me, the trolley next to me and the carousel. This hero stretches his leg from about four feet away (over the trolley) just to get into that tiny space by the carousel and I very nearly lost my balance and flew on to the belt.

I can go on and on about it, but it boils my blood.

I have found that on the mainland, once the queue starts moving and I am just getting out of my seat, the guy behind my row usually waits for me to exit my row and join the queue, allowing me to go without bumping into me. Eye-contact with the person just behind you will usually do the trick.
