1:25 Connection In Montreal Connecting Between Air France and Delta: Too Tight?
I was able to score 3 saver awards next summer between NY and Europe. The only downside is that there were no nonstop transatlantic flights available to NY (from any European gateway) on my day of travel. Instead, I am getting routed on Air France from Paris to Montreal and then on Delta/Comair from Montreal to JFK.
My concern is that the connection time in Montreal is only 1:25. Is that doable? What is the customs/transfer process in Montreal when connecting/traveling from Europe to the US? My arrival time in Montreal on Air France is 2:55 pm, and my departure on Delta/Comair is 4:20 pm. I tried to get a later flight, but apparently, that's the last flight of the day to JFK in the skyteam network. What would happen if we missed our flight? Would they put us on another airline, or would they make us wait until the next Delta flight the next day? It's still early in the day, so I am sure there are more flights to the NY area later in the day.
The other thing that could make this better/worse is schedule changes...which usually happen to the itineraries I book 11 months in advance.
