Your eCerts/eCredits will be preserved. Among the many, many integration projects that are currently underway, one involves making sure that eCerts/eCredits/eCoupons, gift certificates, et al. will be preserved after NW's systems are turned off.
If you want to use these devices in the meantime, you will have to use redeem them on the airline for which they were originally intended.

Thanks for the feedback - this is what I thought is / would be the case, but didn't know for sure; so it's good to get some direct feedback on the plan for this issue. I understand the enormity of the integration tasks. I guess there may at some point be a way to use credits from both airlines system on the same ticket, but sounds like that could take many more months to achieve.
