Just curious here - do you mean that in this situation your credit card provider doesn't still charge the 'convenience fee' when you take that option? I thought the card provider would still apply that because it was still a foreign transaction despite the particular currency used.
I didn't think this could
ever be beneficial to the customer, unless a very unusually large swing in the exchange rate occurred in the time between when the transaction was made and when it was processed by the bank.
