I stayed in the Tokyo Hilton in March, got treated very well and was upgraded.

I stayed in the Conrad HK twice this year and while I do NOT believe it is as great as many here state (either my expectations of hotels are much greater than others, or simply that I am priveleged enough to often stay in much better properties), the first stay I was upgraded to the Exec floor, but found the lounge nasty and cigar smoke filled (and my rate was stupidly high). On the second stay I was on a more reasonable rate and got upgraded to a corner suite (and it was very nice). Its a crapshoot.
