What tours are you interested in?

The concierge/front desk will indeed help; there are plenty of choices but not too sure which companies they will recommend.

You can also walk to the Hyatt where there is a travel agency, should you wish to organise the trip by yourself or make a booking directly – they are most helpful.

Depending on where you want to go, it can be quite simple to organise things on your own - for example a day trip to Kyoto (btw, the best destination IMO).

Also, should you wish to visit the Imperial Palace (not an amazing visit but OK), note that in most cases they will require 24 hours notice to obtain the permit. Having said that the concierge arranged for me to gain access with 2 hours notice (I enjoyed a Japanese speaking visit with 200 retired Japanese couples, which was quite a surreal experience, since they seem more interested in taking pictures of me than of the Palace ). A permit is required for all palaces, but by going to the Tokyo Imperial palace, you can arrange for a permit to other edifices, like all palaces in Kyoto.
