You'd need to contact Air New Zealand about buying an upgrade to their transpacific Premium Economy...expect it to be very expensive if they even allow it on the SFO-AKL. Perhaps it would not be so expensive on the AKL-SYD flight.
Thanks for the response. Actually I will be on UA operated UA870, but I booked it through Air New Zealand as NZ9870. I'm looking to get E+ only on the UA operated flight. I am not looking for NZ Premium Economy. Hope that clarifies!
