Travel options is available only on UA OPERATED flights. Buying year long access with United will only get you E+ on UA Operated flights.

You'd need to contact Air New Zealand about buying an upgrade to their transpacific Premium Economy...expect it to be very expensive if they even allow it on the SFO-AKL. Perhaps it would not be so expensive on the AKL-SYD flight.
