It's my turn today. The SPG AMEX (and the only AMEX) was opened in early May. After the painful 60 days with a credit line of $2,000, it was successfully increased to $5,000 in early July. Didn't use it for a while until coming back from vacation, and bingo, I got the jackpot!
So what is the point of increasing the credit line to $5,000 in early July, and then 30 days later paying someone to conduct the financial review AND pissing off your customer? I don't mind providing my information plus the 4506T form, but it is what AMEX does that pisses me off. If I am not after the SPG points, I am done with AMEX.
